About
Carys Rhian Jewellery creates unique, sustainable jewellery inspired by nature using recycled sterling silver, brass, sea glass and ethical gemstones.
Each piece is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted by jewellery designer and silversmith Carys in her small workshop in the creative market town of Frome, Somerset. Find Carys trading at the monthly Frome Independent Market on the first Sunday of the month.

My silversmithing journey began in 2006 when I took part in a day class in Bali, Indonesia and made a silver ring. I loved the process of working with metal, however, it wasn't until a day class in 2016 that I rediscovered my love of silversmithing. I trained under the talented Alice Goldsack in Bristol in 2016 and love learning new techniques and adding to my growing tool collection.
Working from my studio in Frome, I design and make each piece of jewellery by hand, using a blend of traditional and modern silversmithing techniques.
Favouring a simplistic style of jewellery, many of my designs are inspired by my love of nature with rustic textures.
Being sustainable is important to me as a maker, so I endeavour to source eco-friendly materials using eco-silver and recycled packaging to reduce waste.
I aim to make handcrafted jewellery that can be worn daily – and lasts. My jewellery care guide offers advice on cleaning tarnish and prolonging the life of your jewellery.
